May Flower Challenge Day Twenty-Eight • A Walk in the Garden

Sharing my finds from a walk in the garden for day twenty-eight of the May Flower Challenge. 

Since Spring arrived, mommy and son (my youngest ) take a walk in the garden to see what beautiful surprises we have for the day. This is our ritual every afternoon. 

I get a new yellow dandelion every day, like clockwork. 

Here is the dandelion of the day along with some other lovely surprises.

We have salmon-pink colored poppies, trumpet vine, white columbine, 

baptisia and viburnum.

I painted flowers today as I continue to build my floral library.

Mixing it up again between traditional and digital artwork for day twenty-seven of the May Flower Challenge. I had so much fun with this combination yesterday that I thought I would give it another try between reading fabulous design magazines, playing with the kids and enjoying some grilled treats at the end of our holiday weekend.

Watercolor play  twenty-three of the May Flower Challenge. Just starting to play with some petals on vines earlier today. Hoping to build more colors on the leaves, the next step always makes me nervous because sometimes what you envision in your head doesn't necessarily translate onto the page. Fingers crossed.
