The Beauty of a Weed • May Flower Challenge • Day Seven
Giving the spotlight to what some call a non flower, the dandelion, a weed. We include her leaves on our salads but never in our bouquets. The name dandelion is a modified french term meaning the lion's teeth, the resemblance is in the petals.
What is funny to me is that I found this beauty on a misty and drizzly morning during a garden tour event.
My kids have been having a ball with these dandelions, blowing on them and scattering the seeds everywhere.
When I was a kid they said if you make a wish right before you blow on them, your wish may just come true.
Do you have any dandelion rituals from your childhood?
Have you learned any new ones from your children?
